Every source we watch
There is no mystery feed. Below is every source we watch, in two tiers, with what we take from each and the exact endpoint we read — so you can open the same data we do and check any item on the feed against its primary source. Every source is a government publication or a licensed legislative dataset. None of it is scraped from competitors, purchased from a broker, or generated.
The alert pipeline
The 11 feeds that produce the items on the feed, the state pages and the substance tracker. Each one is heartbeated by the pipeline, and this list is checked against those heartbeats in both directions — a feed that stopped running cannot stay advertised here, and a feed we run cannot stay unlisted.
LegiScan (state legislation)

Primary-source monitoring
A second tier, added on top of the pipeline above. A dedicated service polls 44 primary sources — 14 federal and 30 state — every 2 hours except where a row below says otherwise, and stores each item with the publisher’s original payload, a canonical link hash, and the time we first saw it. Every feed listed here was fetched and confirmed on the date shown against it; none of these endpoints was assumed or constructed.
These sources widen what we see. They do not change how anything is published: items land in staging, and the same human review decides what becomes an alert.

We asked the board on 2026-08-28 for a supported channel rather than route around the refusal. Until then a person reads it every 14 days, matching the roughly fortnightly rhythm the notices actually appear on, and an overdue review raises an operator alarm.

What we don’t watch
Three surfaces this monitoring tier does not reach. We would rather name them than let “regulatory monitoring” imply them.
FDA human drug compounding pages (503A / 503B substance lists)
These pages are reachable and readable — they simply publish no feed, and this monitoring tier reads feeds the publisher emits and nothing else. Diffing the HTML of a page is a different technique with a different failure mode, and claiming it here would be claiming work this service does not do.
Covered another way. The federal compounding record itself is watched through the Federal Register, which is where changes to the scheme are published.
FDA import refusals (the import-alert browse site)
The public browse site answers a plain client with an error and a browser with a page — a deliberate access control by the publisher. We do not present a false user agent to defeat it, whether or not that would work.

State board rulemaking outside the jurisdictions listed above
Four independent discovery methods have been run across every uncovered state: the federal .gov domain registry, generated subdomains (which is how Texas and California were found — they register no board domains separately), state administrative rules registers, and a professional-body directory. Every live feed found was fetched and read rather than counted. What remains is not undiscovered, it is unreachable: publishers that serve a feed only to a browser and not to a plain client, feeds that exist but are empty or abandoned, and states that publish licensing actions as web pages or PDF newsletters with no feed at all. We do not present a false user agent to get past the first category, and page-diffing the third is a different technique with a different failure mode than this tier performs.

This gap is board rulemaking only — the part legislation does not carry. Wisconsin is covered by its rules register, which carries every board in the state at once.
